On December 26th, Wu Lin, Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the University of Nottingham Business School and Head of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), gave an introductory course on Operations Management Theory and Its Applications to 2022 undergraduate students at A01-N305.
Professor Wu Lin elaborated on the meaning and essence of operational management from two perspectives: common life examples and theoretical ITO models. She exchanged ideas with students on key topics such as operations strategy, supply chain management, new product development, process types, capacity management, facility planning, forecasting, inventory management, quality management, and risk management.
In the interactive communication section, the students present raised their confusion during learning, and Teacher Wu shared his own views and suggestions. The students' independent thinking ability and language expression ability left a deep impression on Teacher Wu. This course helped students gain a deeper understanding of operational management related knowledge.
