On the afternoon of July 12th, Wang Guohong, Vice Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology at Dalian University of Technology, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Economics and Management, gave an Introduction to Economics and Business to undergraduate students in the 2022 cohort of economics, with the theme of "Encountering Big Changes in Entrepreneurial Thinking".
Professor Wang Guohong guided students to think and introduce the core content of the course through the "Last Mileage of Innovation" and "Joseph Needham's Question". He pointed out that entrepreneurial thinking is not right or wrong, only appropriate or inappropriate. He compared and analyzed management thinking and entrepreneurial thinking from four perspectives: goals, resources, actions, and processes, and explained that "entrepreneurial thinking is a way of thinking to find profit opportunities in market imbalances.". Subsequently, Professor Wang Guohong analyzed the opportunities and challenges facing China today, as well as the challenges of innovation and entrepreneurship in the context of the new round of industrial revolution - the rise of the AI industry, the deep adjustment of the international system and order, and the new global problems under the great changes; Taking ChatGPT as an example, by explaining its functions and the significant changes it brings, we will delve into the analysis of how we can apply entrepreneurial thinking to cope with the current situation in the context of unprecedented changes in a century. Finally, Professor Wang Guohong encourages students to delve into academia, continuously improve, cultivate their entrepreneurial thinking, and achieve a unity of knowledge and action, with the philosophy of "knowledge elevates thinking, thinking leads action, and action changes destiny.".
In this introduction class, Professor Wang Guohong focused on the theme of "encountering major changes with entrepreneurial thinking". Through videos and case analysis, he guided students to deeply think and clarify how to use entrepreneurial thinking to cope with unprecedented changes in a century. He helped everyone build a theoretical knowledge framework while gaining a more comprehensive understanding of their professional learning, laying a solid foundation for future innovation and entrepreneurship learning and practice.
